California and Oregon Coast. We had to divert away from I-5 because of drifting snow. The coast was windy and cold but safe. We took a route through the Smith River Valley and encountered more snow. We had to stay in Salem because of ice and the dangerous conditions. A large percent of the capital was without power at the time.

Oregon Caves. Most of these pictures were taken near the entrance. Some are dark but give the viewer an idea of the interior. This is a marble cave. Rare and interesting. The 2nd picture of the car has a stuffed iganua in the back window- only in Oregon.
